Trails near northern Virginia?

It's killing me that I have to tow 4+ hours to have off road fun with my toys around the dc area. Is anyone aware of 4x4 accessible trails in the region?

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC... not really accessible, but they don't use it for anything else constructive

All the more reason to move! Off-roading on the east coast in general is a joke these days. I gave up on that one years ago. There are some paid trails near Crozet Va. which is less than 4 hours away from you but that's about it as far as I know.
