I recently was shown one of these at our Treffen- and plan to order one to play with. Anyone else have experience with this lift?

Interesting but it looks very lightly built for heavier 4x4/off-road use. That pump lever looks like it could break/bend easily from watching the video clip. The base and lifting surface is pretty small too. I would think a little heavier-duty version would be worth doing. Not to put it down or anything, and I'd buy one if it's beefed up a little. Cool design!

Not sure about the weight rating...my pinz weighs out at 4380 stripped (very little gas, no spare, no tools only one seat and no people)
no idea what it is loaded for a trip.
But it looks like a great idea.

The only application that I see their web site listing it for is changing tires. For tire changing 2200 pound capacity would be adequate.
I don’t see any place in their description that this jack is intended for vehicle recovery or anything other than straight vertical lifts.
I don’t see this as having the same versatility as a conventional hi-lift (farm jack), I drought it would be functional in a horizontal position.

Don and I were talking about this jack. I think he saw/read the same article I did about it. The author liked the unit although its versatility is less than the lift-all. The jack does not need much of a handle as it works exceptionally easy. The effort required to use the jack is minimal. The lifting foot is adjustable but the travel is limited. In some cases this jack would be much safer to use as there is no possibility of kick back. One of my main concerns is the hydraulic system. If it fails the jack does not work. In the case with the lift-all there is really not much that can go wrong (assuming you have a forged unit and not a cheap stamped version). Most of the troubles I have seen with the lift-all jacks come from lack of lubrication. The lift-all should be well oiled to work properly. I have been using a lift-all for many years and still have the same ones I started with and they still work great. Time will tell if the new hydraulic ones hold up as well.

i agree, also off road on an un-level surface it would be even less stable.
