I've found with the Pinze that sometimes it's two steps forward...but one step back.

I installed led's in the back AND the front, installed a new 24v GROTE electronic flasher, and resistors on the front led's. The 4-ways worked fine (but very fast cycle), but no turn signals (I'd had problems with intermittent working before). I took the turn signal switch apart, re-soldered two questionable points, but still no turn signals.

I purchased a new turn signal switch (aftermarket from SAV $$$), and VOLLA', now have 4-was AND front and back turn signals. 4-ways still flash very fast, but l and r turn indicators work about right.

The problem:
4-ways work when the headlights are on, BUT THE TURN SIGNALS WILL NOT FLASH WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON!

Any help troubleshooting this would be so appreciated, before I pull out the rest of my receding hair.

Try re attaching the tan ground wire from the switch to the body, to the right of the flasher assembly panel.

FIXED! THANKS JIM! The ground was loose and I also removed the resistors that I thought I needed, and now am getting a good flash rate even with the headlights on. Now I can pass inspection and get back on the road.

Jim, you are a MAESTRO, master mechanic as they would call you in many central american countries.
You remind me of a master VW mechanic I knew back in my vw days. I called him in a panic on a long trip once when there was a terrible noise coming from the engine. I was convinced that it was catestrophic and expensive to fix. He calmly told me to reach around the fan housing and remove the Payday candy wrapper that was flapping against the fan blades. Sure enough it was there making the noise like a playing card against bicycle spokes.

I love this forumn; many of us are not fortunate to live close to a Maestro.
