Well, I just drove my "new" 710K the two blocks from the transporter to my house... I just finished the flashlight inspection and boy am I STOKED to start getting to know it better!

I spent the last 3-4 weeks reading the archives. What a great community! Special thanks to Scott, Jim, Dennis and the many others that have already educated me, and will be in the future. -Steve

You're off on the right foot by reading through the archives. Lots and lots of information there.

That's EXACTLY what the transporter driver said. He had a load of exotics, Mercedes, Ferrari, etc. and wherever he stopped, he said people ALL wanted to know what's that tall thing on the back? The fellow I bought it from also said, "getting gas takes a lot longer than you're used too". haha!

People in my neighborhood are used to me now and they wave. New places are filled with new people and a trip to Home Depot
is usually fraught with a Q and A period, not usually a problem as long as no one is under it when I want to go.
Life is good.

Mine came to my door on a trailer carrying a ferrari and a built mopar pickup....my usually quiet country road was developing into a traffic jam when the transporter was trying to get my pinz off of it I actually had to tell a couple of cars to get the hell outa the way so I could get my vehicle down. Was offered cash for the pinz before it even came off the trailer...incredible attention no matter where I go :D

Wow, what a coincidence! My pinz was also delivered on a transporter with a ferrari. I can still remember the driver's words - "I got a lot of funny looks on the motorway. I couldn't tell if it was your thing or the ferrari. I think it was your thing."

Looks like there is one more person out here in the NorthEast corner that definitely wants to get together for some Pinzgauer time .........hmmmmm, the Catskills out my front door are quiet and filled with a new 10" layer of winter white!!!!! (Makes the ground really soft for camping!!!)

My buddy has a place up in Roscoe that backs up to the Catskill park. Also my daughter goes to school in New Paltz and I climb in the "Gunks" and Minnewaska. I'll be sure to give you guys a shout when I'm heading your way.
