You guys know how much I love you...right?

I appreciate all of the inquiries about my 712M but, if you're not serious about wanting to acquire a really nice 712M, that's more or less priced accordingly, you need to dial back the tire kicking.

I would really like to see this truck go to a knowledgeable buyer (AKA - someone on the forum) and not jack with eBay so, if you're looking for an exceptional example, drop me a line, I'll load you up on photos and we can talk price.

Thanks!

Well, you might start with a price :) Or consider the usual classified process (i.e. the "Dutch auction") which starts with what you want with the price dropping periodically until the first buyer that jumps gets it. Otherwise the fleabay process with your dream price reserve (including what you think fleabay fees has to take out of it). But you might get an idea of the market price.

There is always that dream buyer willing to pay a premium for a premium truck like yours once every year or so. But I think even with these there is a starting price. Just sayin' :D

David,
I'm not sure but what you might have inadvertently given the impression that the truck was only 'sorta' for sale. That might have lead to some of the tire kicking. Examples from your earlier thread:
Thinking about selling the 712M
This is NOT a distressed sale so forget about that buying it by the pound stuff cause it ain't happenin'.
I'm really inclinded ot hang on to it unless the Sultan of Brunai's nephew knocks on the door and begs me to sell it to him at some outragous number.
I'd agree that you that it seems like a great truck. But you might have gotten more serious bites if you started with a price, and dicker from there. Just my 2 cents...

Best of luck selling it.

Paul

No disrespect but I agree post a price.
I buy and eventually sell vehicals as part of my hobby/addiction.

If someone is unwilling to post a price in an add I will not even consider contacting the seller.
We don't know what you think is a fiar price, is it 10K, 20k or 30K. Give us a ballpark of what you want.
When most people search forsale adds a price point helps them know if tire kiking is even an option.

Several years ago I had a Rometsch Beeskow Cabriolet I was selling, I posted it in Hemmings without a price. I got several tire kickers wanting to feel me out and make lowball offers. In the next issue of the magazine I posted my asking price and had it sold within days of the publication.

If you don't have a pending deal within a week, and a couple guys ticked at themselves they didn't move fast enough, I'd be surprised.

Sale will include that aluminum storage box shown and the 6th seat assembly and those belts. The Falken tires are nearly new (less than a couple thousand miles, if that) and the spare has never been on the road. I have an 8th tire too that's new that goes. Of course all of the tools, tire chains etc. as well.

David,
I'm really sorry to see your 712 for sale. It's obvious how much thought, time and effort (and $$$) you put into it. Stay firm on your price - it's well worth it.

Hope there is another Pinz in your future! :?:

Wow! Really nice clean truck. Value? Whatever someone's willing to pay, or what you think it's worth, if you're willing to turn down the offer.
Remember, the glass is always full. Half water, half air.
