Not sure what this part is for - I have a picture of a Pinz and it has one on each side beside each headlight?
Pinz has a modified bumper but this looks to be stock?
Is it to hold windsheild?
Perhaps Austrian vs Swiss??

Yeap, that's that the bracket for holding the windshield frame in place when folded. The Swiss Pinzes don't have them, as they never intended to have them down. That was added to that truck

They were standard fit on Austrian Pinzies.

I do fold my windshield down. That part would be a nice addition to my truck. Anyone have a spare they no longer want?

Apparently SAV has the original Austrian parts as well:

But you might have to fab the mount bracket on the Swiss version.

Wondering if that rubber bumper on the upper headlight guard on the Austrian model is part of the "system"?

The Swiss never had them. The original brackets were welded in place. People bolted the kit to the Swiss models aftermarket. And yes the bumper is part of the kit to protect the glass from breaking on the guards. The Swiss Pinzes also have different guards and the bumpers aren't really useable.
It is also not smart to fold the windshield down without any method to hold it firmly. It is a real chance to have the glass bounce it's way out of the frame
