rebuilding carbs - Accelerator pump bore and seal

The rubber seal and accelerator pumps look good, but how would i know if i need to replace or not?
A lip is evident at the bottom portion of the accelerator pump bore. Is this lip supposed to be there or do i need to hone? The lip is NOT equal around the cyl. A 30-45 degree portion of the cyl is smooth with the lip more pronounced directly across.
