I have a pit in the bore of my clutch master cylinder. Does anybody know if it crosses over to a more common vehicle?

It's very very basic. I'd be willing to bet it crosses with something... I searched high and low though and couldn't find any info
It almost appears that the MC for the locker could bolt up. Its the exact same style, but much longer and smaller ID. My point is though, that swaps with a more common PN, so some digging should pop something up, especially if you can pull reliable dimensions of your current MC.

Why don't you just get the master cylinder relined?
It's generally done in stainless steel, relatively cheap, saves any hassles with locating a unit with similar port positioning etc and it's better and more durable than a new unit. I'm sure you'll find a brake place in your area that does it.....it's quite a common fix here in Oz.

i would assume the Prius clutch cylinder would be electric.
I ordered a new one. Cost about the same as a sleeve and rebuild but I do not have to wait so long. I will save the old one so I have a core to resleeve in the spares pile

Well, actually I meant that as a joke. (Maybe the head injuries have had an effect on my sense of humor...)

Well, so it was! Sorry.
See what I meant about head injuries?

I'm surprised, you either got a very good price on an original replacement unit or they charge a lot more for a stainless sleeve in your neck of the woods than they do here!
....whatever, at least it should be up and running again soon.

I was surprised it was so close too, but I did not shop too hard for a sleeve because I did not want to be without my truck while I sent it off. The leak slow so i can still drive it. Maybe if I would have shopped a little harder I would have gotten a better price on a sleeve. All else being equal I prefer the sleeve because they generally last forever with a sleeve.

Prof Pinz, you were right. About price. I got my cylinder in and it was more expensive than I expected. I must have goofed when looking at the price when ordering.moh well
