As Mike said, what a fantastic rig!
My only concern is that you would probably need one of these (refer pic below) to keep it fueled up

Gotta love those trailer trains you have down there. I like the irony of that pic...all those tank trailers hooked up behind him and he's at that lil bitty pump fueling his own truck.

I don't think I've seen pictures of one of those rigs with that many trailers. Seems like it would take quite a while just to get all that moving from a dead stop. The trucks on US highways with 3 trailers tend wander side-to-side quite a bit from what I've seen. Wonder what its like with 5 on a rough road?
Alan
When your in the Australian Outback Alan, and you see a roadtrain coming, it's best to give way to them (EVERYTHING normally does
) particularly on the dirt roads as they throw up that many stones etc ....... You can see them coming for miles on dirt in the dry, because of the bulldust ploom, so you just head bush and wait till they have passed.
It's usually a good opportunity to brew a cuppa while you wait.

The trailer has two 7000 lb axels and the trailer is 9000 lb so that give it a cargo capacity of 5000 lbs which I figure is about right for a 710. The cargo area is 16 ft which is a snug but comfortable fit for the 710 but it would not accommodate a 712.
Peter hit the nail on the head with the gas consumption though. Fully loaded the 454 vortec gas engine only get about 6 to 7 mpg. If I ever win the powerball maybe I can up grade to one of those 4500 series Chevys with a good diesel in it.
