Had some fun taking th e710 out for its first real ride with me. I really had a good chance to check out the armor package Tim is selling. Good thing I invested in it.
Listen to the rock crawling jeep guy riding with me. I never get tired of hearing newbies

Nice video Mike, but I think you need to invest in Power Steering next!

Mike,
That was some of the best pinz driving i have seen. I am still sitting here in aww. Its also nice to see you man up and drive a real truck without the extra girly wheels, LOLOLO. Just kidding. Though i cant see your 712 making some of those tight turns. That place looks like a blast.

Thanks guys, I had a bunch of fun driving the 710. I have been to the cracks in the past with my 712 just did not do the Snake Pit. I did not have the battery/tool box armor on at that time and did not want to damage them. I have no doubt that the 712 could have done the Snake Pit with the armor that is now on it. The hard turn was simple with the selectable lockers. I just engaged the fronts and bumped the clutch to let the truck slide around on the rock. Great use of the tubular side rails and thank goodness I had the gas tank guard on. Those who have seen the 710 since the Cracks can attest there is no damage to the truck from that run.
If you watched the videos of the jeeps in the Snake Pit you can get an idea of how challenging it is. Just a few inches wider and what a difference. Most of them chose to leave the pit before the hard turns. All in all I would say the Pinz performed exceptionally well against some really well built jeeps. Kind of makes a good argument about the need for flexy trucks.
Profpinz I would love to have power steering especially in my 712 but alas it is not something that I foresee in the near future.
