Diesel 710 on E-bay
Diesel 710 on E-bay
SAV has a 710M converted to diesel for sale on ebay. Pictures and description of the truck are on the SAV website. If nothing else it is interesting to look at.

Good point Peter. that would make a difference. I notice that they had to do some modifiications in the bed also. The shaft having to be balanced and the shifter needing to be adjusted didn't do much to inspire me to look at the ebay listing.
What I did think is that it was a big plus for SAV and for Willi, or whoever made the entry, to be straight up about potential problems.
I wonder what type of mileage it gets?

A diesel engine often burns a bit of oil. It be interesting to see what happens when a bit of oil gets spit on the rear tire, the way the exhaust pipes are located!
I personally would change that setup.
Here are pictures from a Pinzgauer 710 with a mercedes diesel engine that is for sale in Prague. However it looks like it has not been done it such a nice way as the one from SAV.

Ebay Pinz
Thanks guys for the information.
For me, the mods made to vehicles never really seem to work out. Problems and more problems like the one listed.
With the price of fuel, this conversion would have to really give 25 to 30 miles per gallon to justify the costs to do all the mods.
Just my thought.

I know that allot of people that off road want more power than they have.
It's been my experance that I always have the power, even in 4 banger jeeps, but I might loose traction from not having the right tread on my tires.
Just me, but I have been wrong before as my wife and kids always seem to remind me. Life is sometimes really tuff

Thanks
I've done a/c in 2 Pinzes and I did not see any outlets...
sometimes I get a little anal, but the control panel is a real cobble job.
Kinda a cut and paste.
I'm not saying a re-power is bad,I just feel if attention is paid to the smallest details, confidence with the over-all job would be increased and would justify the price (whatever that may be).
