Door Weatherstripping/Seals
Door Weatherstripping/Seals
Anybody have a current source and part no. for door weatherstripping? The J.C Whitney pn I have, zx133178w, is no longer valid according to their website. Thanks.
SAV carries them. Part #7111763352 and 7111763342. Expensive at $195.00 per door.

door seal
I have done both seals, the really expensive stuff and the by-the-foot type from SAV. You willl have to cut your own corners but the inexpensive B-T-F from SAV will work just fine (and it is about 1/10th the price) if you can even find the expensive seals.
Yup, the 3M products are great. Comes in yellow (dries yellowish clear) http://www.shop3m.com/60455029946.html and also in black http://www.shop3m.com/70070385854.html . Most auto parts stores and body shop supply outfits carry them in various sizes.

Re: weatherstrip
This won't work. Too small. I just ordered a roll and am sending it back. I'll just order the SAV stuff.Thomas-E wrote:I looked up one of the old parts reference listings, besides the J.C. Whitney item it also listed;

I almost thought that I had surfed onto "C.S.I. Wyoming" there for a minute! I began to think..."how could door weather-stripping possibly be involved in a crime scene..."

Forgive the crappy cell phone pic.
