710 Ambulance car

Has anybody seen a 710 Ambulance ? I may have a chance to buy a 710k and Ambulance , both in need of rebuilding . The k is half way rebuilt , the owner had been in the prosses of installing a jeep 4.0 L . He says that he has all of the parts to make them stock , he had personaly shiped them for Austria . I have been looking for a 712 , but this Ambulance looks cool . I just dont have the money to buy them now , or the ablity to ship them to my place .

I understand the 710 Ambulance is quite rare, it may be a find!

As I had previously mention, people have bantered names and letters around without knowing what the actual configuration of the truck is.
A 710AMB could be the buildup of a 710T (stripped 710 3 door platform) and the installation of a removeable shelter unit ( similar to what most envision on a 712AMB), which is very rare.
It can also be a 710M with a 710K hardtop and door uppers ( later referred to as “MK”) , but fitted by the factory for ambulance use, also rare, but can easily be made aftermarket .
A couple of pics could easily clarify things.

Also you said they were shipped from Austria. This would tend to make one believe they were made to Austrian specs and had an Austrian life ( exposed to the weather, and a rougher live than Swiss ). Quickest way to tell are: split windshields, different headlamp guards ( than Swiss), fuse box ( instead of breakers) and different taillamps.

It would interesting to see what this 710AMB is.

Erik's link is the "expected" appearance of an AMB, and Ed's pic is a MK.... a K hardtop on a M platform.
The pic I'd like to see is that of the 'for sale' vehicle.

Not all have the same expectations David, heck most of us “expect” not to put diesel in a Pinzgauer..

???? Ed , the first comment has me baffled, as the Pink Cow is a 716... it was "born" a diesel.

As for the 2nd, I still have 710/12 manuals, 7 years since I sold my 710 and 712, and I posted the last comment for those that don't have the owner's manual... there are more than Pinz owners that read this forum.
I had forgotten the original AMB-Y designation, in the 716/18s, they are MKs.

The photo by edzz is exactly the one that I may get . I haven't figuerd out how to upload photos on the site yet . In the photos that were e-mailed to me they both looked pritty weatherd , I couldn't tell if they were originally green or wite . The front turn signals looked round . Just how rare are these 710amb's?

Any factory710AMB would be considered rare. But since the conversion of my 716K and Scott's 710S's.. those hardtops have have gone to converting M's into MK's ( the designation used the 716/18 model range), making them a tiny bit less rare.
