I'm not thinking Arby's, I'm thinking G-Wagen...

Posts about other Real 4x4's. Examples: Unimogs, Steyr-Puch G-wagens, Tatra, MAN, ex-military, etc. Please keep posts related to rare 4x4's, Euro/military/industrial and portal axle related off-road trucks. (This is not a Jeep forum)

Their website, however, looks as if it was done in 1998, and was only sporadically updated by an 8th grader for a homework project.

Seriously though, if you're a store front shouldn't you have inventory or prices, or both? I guess it does stop tire kickers, as that is all I am right now, and I didn't want to bother them with an email about inventory or prices if I'm not even close to pulling the trigger on one. (buying a house)

I'm pretty sure my next 4 wheeled vehicle will be a G-Wagen though, the idea of diesel is very appealing. Hey Vince, when will you start importing 716's?

Ya, the website is very outdated. When I was inquiring about the Pinz, I sent an Email and got a response. Doesn't hurt to send an Email and ask what they have in stock.

I had the same thought. If he sells them (ex-mil G-Wagens), maybe I can save myself from the challenge of an overseas transaction. Althought I'm a little bit wary now given Berger's transaction experiences. To mirror the previous comments, if you're going to have a website to attract the buying public, it's more useful if it's fairly current. I used to bug Thilo about the very same issue by the way.

I know I have not left a ringing endorsement of Pinzgauer Canada, but I won't throw the baby out with the bath water. Karl admitted to having Mechanic issues and I suffered, now coupled with my excitement and inexperience made it worse. If you know what you want and know what to look for, you shouldn't have an issue. Worth a look anyway.

That's a refreshing and adult perspective. Historically, we would have all gone over there and burned his business down to the ground after your experiences but you're right about taking this muc better approach. I'll drop him a line and see what's what with his G-Wagen inventory.

This 1991 Wolf is listed near me. No affiliation, just passing along.

Thanks for passing that along! It's too new for US consumption but is representative of what I think I'm in the market for.

Sorry. Forgot about that 25 year restriction.
