My Pinzgauer is undergoing a civilian face lift
Re: My Pinzgauer is undergoing a civilian face lift
I was only wondering the same thing after checking the thread the other day.

Peter,
It's one of my favorite builds, so I got curious and googled it. Here's some recent info: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... &start=160

Thanks Mate, good to see he's still moving on with it, as so many "projects" just fall by the wayside.

Peter,
As my Dad once pointed out, projects are often easier to begin than to finish. Among my googling, I also found out that he runs a company providing parts for WV Westfalia vehicles. So perhaps business has been good and he's been busy.

Still waiting to hear how this truck is progressing...

Re: My Pinzgauer is undergoing a civilian face lift
I hope it hasn't just being pushed to the back of the workshop and forgotten like so many unfinished projects.

Time for a 1/2 year shoutout. Where's this truck?

Is that the theme to The Twilight Zone I hear? Nope, just the sound of my mind (still) wondering what ever happened to this truck...
:?:
This is my all-time favorite Pinzgauer build. Too bad it's not moving forward.

Does anyone have any current info about this truck?

Might be available cheap now, no telling.

My guess is it's been sitting behind the shop for years now. Been about 3 years since he's visited here.

Yeah, I know that much. I was the guy who found him on samba. Same guy. I was hoping for an update. Maybe I've been dreaming that you're right, and the owner will pm me with an offer to sell (???). It's too cool of a project to moulder.edzz wrote:This guy may know something.undysworld wrote:Does anyone have any current info about this truck?

Couldn’t hurt to call and ask if he wants to sell it.

Re: My Pinzgauer is undergoing a civilian face lift
Mryak,
Welcome to this site, and thank you for the offer. Please do!
For one, I'd love to get any update on this project.
I've gotten the impression that the owner has his own business that is keeping him occupied.
I'm not interested in buying it. Maybe 15 years ago, but not at this time. Im just curious about one of the coolest projects I've seen for a LONG time.
Thanks,
Paul

I went by his shop in town. He still has the Pinz/vw creation. He recently bought a 712 so his interests continue. I have his email address if anyone desires to contact him.
