Finally after years of deliberation, we have taken the plunge and picked up a Pinz.

Pretty clean, needs a couple things. I have a back fire when I let off the gas and it will need tires soon.
Many adventures ahead!
Re backfire: if it's very loud look into it however moderate coughing and farting as an air cooled engine warms up is not uncommon or cause for concern. Mine does it too and so does my old '71 BMW motorcycle. With no catalytic convertors to worry about it's not an issue. The engine should be set up to run smoothly when warmed up.
Backfires are usually down to air leaks, both on the inlet side and on the exhaust side. They can also be caused by bad ignition timing so that's the first thing to check as that can lead to holes melted in pistons if bad enough!
Gotta love the NM DMV, took the title, bill of sale, did the vin inspection, everything checks out. But "oh my gosh scary jeep thing, I gotta send this up to Santa Fe". Gotta love the dmv!
