Anyone know if you can buy a master cylinder for a TGB 1111 here in the states? Would it match up with an early defender like most other brake parts do?
Thanks

Re: Master Cylinder
Judson,
As I am sure you are already aware, Tatanka in Sweden offers a rebuild kit for the original dual circuit M/C. I used one of these kits to rebuild a MC on a 1976 AluZn TGB11 and the quality was quite high. It was not cheap. Claes and Sofia also offer a non-stock dual circuit M/C replacement with custom mounting bracket. Not sure what the original OEM source is for that particular M/C. Years ago, I used a Pinzgauer 710 M/C and custom mounting bracket as a replacement for an early MB L407D van. Picked mine up from Scott Ingham at Expedition Imports for a reasonable price. I know of no source, either in the US or Europe, for the original master cylinders. If you hear of a bolt in replacement, please let us know. Hope this helps.
Take care.
