fuel line

Post by critter »

OK guys and gals,

In my dilema with my fuel pump, I have discovered first of all that the fuel filter was eliminated from my fuel line. Obviously, not good. Now I am wondering about the fuel line itself. There is 1/4 fuel line run from the fuel tank to the fuel pump. Yet, it seems most filters are set up for 3/8 fuel line. Is the problem the fuel line was re-run incorrectly by the previous owner or is thie norm.

Use a VW fuel filter or a Fram G-2, or NAPA 3032BP, or Delco GF-61.
Fuel line is fuel line as long as it is secure and not leaking. If you want the right size line, go to a VW or Buggy shop or get it from one of the Pinz parts suppliers.

You will need 4 ft. of 7mm fuel hose and 4 ft. of 5mm fuel hose (per vehicle) to completely replace the fuel lines.
