Jim,
You did it again! Got the voltage regulator today, plugged it in and after turning the truck on (with great trepedation) 28.5 volts at the batteries and no boiling or bubbling. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! If for some strange reason you ever need anything out of Texas feel free to call on me and I will do my utmost to help you out. I appreciate you more than I can tell you.
There should be somethig like a fan club. Between Jim, Dennis in Colorado, SWPA and Mr Sweeny I think a lot of people who visit here have saved a dollar or two and been able to get their trucks back on (Off?) the road.
Don't mean to leave anybody out. I just really have a hard time believing how forth coming everyone, all over the globe, is with information and assistance. I'm pretty sure there are other neophytes out there who benefit from all the help. Maybe I just hope I'm not the only non-mechanical person here. But thanks again to everyone.
Andy I would say I fit the bill as well. I can do some small stuff but for the most part I Drive dennis mad with phone calls. I am sure he wishes he would of never answered the phone by the end of the phone conversation.I reley on this forum as well as others, more than most.
