Looking to replace the Diff locker bulbs with LED. I have found 2 that may work but need to know which is closer to the light output of the Standard 2 watt bulb. The LED's have outputs of cd/m2 - 490 and 2450
Thanks, Miles

I have used LEDs from superbrightleds.com and have been happy with them. You can get BA9 lamps which are designed to replace #1819 24v. lamps.
The overall length is 1.135" - 29mm which is longer than the stock Osram K15617 lamps, but I have used them in the warning lamp unit and they work fine.
I don't know just what the brightness conversion from watts is, but the White is 11200mcd (millicandles), Blue is 2800 mcd, Green is 12600 mcd, Red is 7200 mcd and Amber is 8600 mcd.
Im the warning panel they give a more diffused, softer light than the incandescent lamp, and use less power.
Check out the specs at:
http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/ba9s.htm
You can even get this base style in a four led lamp.

Just a thought on removing the small indicator lamps from the warning light panel and locker indicators... I used a piece of rubber tubing to slip over the bulb and turn it to get it out.
A snug fit works fine or even a pioece that won't quite fit is enough to grab the bulb to turn it

Thanks Tom....The bulbs I'm looking at are a little shorter than the ones you suggested. I'm going to get some of both, brighter ones for lockers and warning lights and softer ones for the guages.
