What year are they? The bumpers are not the same as what I am use to seeing.
Most of the later models vehicles were fitted with that factory optional/original reinforced bumper unit!
Note also that the headlight protection bars/grilles are of the later design.
(You can see both the above "upgrades" in this 1984-85 model Pinzgauer)
Hi, well no Dennis it is from a yard of a guy that bought a lot of about 50 vehicles from Fuerte Tiuna, but they are in salvage condition: no engine, most do not have interiors, and to my sadness the guy doesnt want to part them out, just wants to sell them in lots of 10.
My Pinz has the same bumper and grill setup of the pictures. Acording to my documents it is from 1989, although I dont know if they were specially ordered as in '89 the production of this model should have ceased.
Well there are still some in service, but most have been replaced. Mine was from the "Escuela de Operaciones Especiales". They are now using a vehicle that they built that is called TIUNA, it's being made in Fuerte Tiuna. I'm attaching some pics of it...
Actually Gents I think you will find them to be Spanish in origine "Assemblado en Venezuela". More than likely in Valencia Venezuela's Motor city. It's a bit west of Maracay if you want to find it on the map of beautiful Venezuela.
I feel obliged to point out that recently (last week ) King Juan Carlos of Spain during a meeting of Ibero/Latin States in Argentina, told the venerable President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez quote 'why don't you shut up!" Unquote. That following a tirade of accusations by the Venezuelan president.
Perhaps that will be the last bunch of those Tuinas delivered!
