i just got a cheap head unit with some small speakers for the pinzer, i also bought 2 transformers to step the volts from 24 to 12, i still need to get an antenna.
is there anything more i need to buy to make a radio work?
is there an empty spot in the fuse panel on the dash or do i have to take it from the battery?
i am new to this so any help is great

Transformers will not work with DC!!!!! If you hook them up you will smoke them (and possibly your truck wiring!) in short order! You need either 1) a battery equalizer that will allow you to safely (for your batteries) pull power off the battery tap, or 2) use a DC to DC converter to create 12V from 24V. These are available from dealers or other sources.i also bought 2 transformers to step the volts from 24 to 12

I got a very reasonable converter to power the CB and the radio. Installed it behind the head cushion on the passenger side, out of the way of any damage. Power comes from the radio connection behind the passenger seat. Install a fuse in the line if it does not come with the unit.
