The pinz(s) are a hobby at the moment... an expensive hobby. I also have a couple of other unique vehicles and the means to transport. The cost of upkeep is quite an expense, but then again, we all knew that coming in.

I've been giving thought lately to what it would take to create a small business to help support these costs. In no way do i expect this venture to produce a profit any time soon. In fact, just like any small business, I'd be lucky to produce a profit in 4 years. Then again, there are significant write offs to help get to that point.

The most appealing thought thus far is as a marketing tool. I'd offer up the Pinz for a nominal fee, include signage, etc.

I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this and i'm wondering what barriers others have discovered. Please, pop my idea balloon =)

Hi Krick3tt- thanks for the pix-
question, for anyone - I read some comments elsewhere about some cautions-
sounds like once the up front confusion was worked out, this was a win-win

Anyone care to share what they were paid by the promoters,
and what the cost of decals was, and cost/efffort to remove?

How much is sort of asking the guy sitting next to you in the office...'How much do you make?' But, I'm guessing each person got different amounts depending where in the country they were. If they ever do it again, sign up in your area and see how it goes.

I met the driver and the girls and one of them bought me a few beers. I would have liked to been the driver, and it would have been arranged so, but, I was going out of town for that time period and it did not make sense to leave the pinz sitting in the drive and not making me a few bucks.

Removing the decal stuff was the responsibility of the guys putting it on, mine went well, or rather, came off well except for a little adhesive on the driver door. I called the guy and he was out to take it off within 24 hours, really nice guy and we had a great chat while he was here. He was worried more about my paint job as it is matte finish, but, when I told him I painted it with rattle cans from WalMart we both had a laugh. Seems the stuff works better on glossy paint and comes right off. He had some liquid that made short work of the adhesive.
