Where the heck is the snorkel???
It's just behind the blue flashing light.
You know you have been in deep when you have to open the door to let the water out.

That's one of the larger "F" cab Isuzu with a standard air intake. He is quite fortunate to kept going, as the bow wake kept it from just flooding the engine. It surely would have had hydro lock if he had stop.... none the less, the water wouldn't have done the electrics much good
I don't think my old FRR would have faired so well, and a NPR would have floated away ... after a "voyage to the bottom of the sea"

What? nothing from the Unimog owners? well my U1300L has had no problems with water that deep.....I know it,s not a fair comparison.....would the driver still have been in trouble if it had been a Unimog?

The CFA have strict rules as regards where they can take the trucks etc.
After the big fires a few years back the vehicles are treated like gold as they are always on call, and at about $300K each fully equipped, they expect the drivers to always err on the side of caution.
A few days after that heavy rain we had a week of around 40C and another truck was badly damaged while fighting a bush fire.
