Picked up about 15 degrees... now up to about 140 F.
This is so low that you may develop foamy oil, the engine doesn't get warm enough to cook out the combustion condensation that inevitably get into the crankcase.
A friend at work was restoring am old Porsche 911 and showed me a slight oil leak that he had, and I saw his thermostat. Wow
So, to keep this short we found a good used one online ($35.00)
at one of the MANY online Porsche sources.
It works flawlessly, perfect fit. Now I can get my oil temp up to 175 F. with an outside air temp of 28 F.
I installed it in last March of this year and have run it all summer,
185-190 F. with an outside air temp of 100-110 F.
