New ARB Slimline 100 battery

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

New ARB Slimline 100 battery

Post by VinceAtReal4x4s »

Anyone seen this yet? I assume the price will be way up there but I really like this! Looks ideal for a main house (meaning, camper aux) battery. 100AH plus built in DC-DC.

Nope, haven't seen this one yet. Does everything in one package
Selling in AU for about $1,800 AU a pop. So ya, won't be cheap when it
hits our shores.

Volumetrically, that's a boat load of charge is a very small package.
Factoring in about 1/3 is used up for the DC-DC and MPPT function!
Not constraining themselves to a given Battery format helps, and
latest EV cells but still that's extremely dense.

I went with REDARC + Battleborn in my 710, had the space to do so.

If you don't have the space, and the price is affordable, this could be
a big advantage -but- IMHO I'd let this "soak" out there in DownUnderland.
They are pretty good at kicking the snot out of new things and reporting
on it. If it passes their use cases it will be a good thing.

Semi-solid-state? Another one enters the market but way too pricey for now.

Hmmm very interesting! Renogy is a pretty reputable company in Solar and off-grid power conversion.

That's an interesting approach they are taking, semi-solidstate. The pricing is pretty attractive, it is
priced BELOW Battleborn's 100Ah LFP at $750, that's goning to be mighty competitive at least for the
high end LFP market.
