Thanks for posting your travels. You have such beautiful country to see. Traveling in comfort to get to it is a blessing.
I intend to see much more of my country in the LR3 I just acquired. Just around town it is one of the most comfortable vehicles I have ever been in. The pinz has many good points and I did appreciate them as well, but this is just another step to enjoy life and travel.

Beautiful! Is there any name or history associated with what appears to be the remains of an old castle? Curious minds want to know...

Castle Moil at Kyleakin Skye

In Scotland there are castle ruins everywhere, you stop noticing them sometimes!

Thanks for the information. I'd love to explore those areas, but for now I have to do it though your photos!

But the picture is Eilean Donan, correct? I seem to recognize it, mostly because it's the castle in the "Highlander" movie...

My mother's maiden name was MacRae and some how related to Jock who rebuilt the castle.

A whole bunch of them immigrated to Australia, I have some clan tartan in a box somewhere.

Adventures in the VW T5 4Motion continue.

This year we took a ferry from the UK to Spain. Travelled along the Pyrenees and into Andorra. We went into France on the Mediterranean coast then up through the alps into Italy (following some great suggestions from Wolfram on here)

We then went through Switzerland and Austria before heading north through Slovakia, Poland and Lithuania into Latvia.

The van was great and I was thankful for the air conditioning.

It was really interesting to see the VW T5 in use with the German Military. So I still have a 'capable' military truck ;)

It was really lovely in Switzerland, in a little village, to spot this ex-army Haflinger
