First let me apologize for not having pics of it but it's kind of a secret project, from the sound of it.
So I walked into my upholstery guy's shop (you may recall his fine carpet and panel work on the 710K project that I sent to Japan), anyway I saw something I didn't understand, sitting on a trailer that was pulled into his shop. It looked like a headliner but HUGE.
I was told that yes, it was a headliner which must be transported on a trailer. He was dressing it up and adding a couple LED dome lights. I didn't understand until I went over to inspect it. I COULD NOT LIFT IT. I'm not exaggerating, it was 3/4" STEEL.
I was then told that Arnold was having this built up for his mega Hummer. (I wish I could get one of those.. Ha!) I saw a pic of it and while the body looked like a Hummer, it was sitting on massive 40"+ tires from what I could tell and possibly a different frame. He said it had some big Cummins diesel put into it and that the doors were just like the headliner. The whole thing is war resistant.
I was then shown the seat, which had a bracket that absorbs shock and has two small gas shocks.
Apparently budget was never talked about nor worried about. Estimates weren't even bothered with.
Excuse the crappy phone pics please.

Are those Stryker rear passenger seats? Seems like I've seen them somewhere before.
MRAPs, I think.
