heater hose

Post by krick3tt »

I probaably should have not touched it, but I did. The heater hose from the heat exchanger to the forward cab heat outlet is disintergrating. Is there a source for this cloth spiral wound hose?
Napa only has 2.5 and 3.5 inch hose and this stuff is approx 3 inch.

I am planning a trip to NWMF and leaving San Diego 8/4 for the trip, planning to see a few sights along the way.
Any help will be appreciated.

Metric heater hose

Post by Kiwibru »

Another source for metric H.D. rubber heater hose is McMaster-Carr. PN 53335 K13 is 80mm, heat resistant and very heavy duty. You can wrap the portion near heat sources with aluminum tape. They also carry a un-slit foam rubber insulation that slips over the hose just fine. That is PN 4463 K145. A must have for the more Northern climates!
