broken locker ?

Post by TurboJim »

Since I first got my pinz i noticed every now and then the left rear rear wheel didnt lock in all the way thought it was just sluggish locking but this week i backed it of a ledge and tried to spin it with my hand (locked in of course) forward it spun freely and made a fairly loud clicking noise and backward it locked up tight any suggestions

If the axle is locked, when you raise one wheel, you should not be able to spin the tire. Locked with both wheel off the ground, you should be able to spin the wheel, and the other side will turn in the same direction.

It should be locked in both directions...does sound like internal problems. A broken axle shaft would spin free both directions when locked, if it's a fairly clean break anyways.

Someone knowledgeable on the differential will have to answer that. So Far. my experience has been only with a broken axle, nothing further inside.
