Erik,

Used to live in the Denver area, and was there last year wheeling some, if you have time, get up to Ouray and check out Imogene pass, Engineer Pass, or Black Bear pass, though I thought I heard that RMP treffen was in the area recently and the trails were washed out, anyway it's worth checking out, curiuos myself to know if a 712 can negotiate the switch backs on black bear....

Yeah, I'd be interested to see if a 712 can make the switchbacks on Black Bear Pass too. By the way, that pass is 7 hrs from Denver (9 hrs. in a Pinzgauer) but the Ouray/Telluride/Silverton area is the best mountain "jeeping" on the continent! If you see some yellow 710M's wheeling around in the high country there, say hi. Those are my tour 4x4 tour company rigs.

I really enjoy the change of pace when we go up to Colorado for the RMP Treffens. I would get in touch with one of the RMP officers and see if they have time to show you around.

Me too! Don't know if I have the guts to figure that out myself. I was scared to death in my Jeep Rubicon with an auto tranny when I tried it.
