This event brings out all sorts, from tractor pullers, mud drag racers, UTV/Dirt Bike/trophy truck racing...and those who just like to run around in a MASSIVE mud bowl. Then there was us, the tame 4x4 Club running a course of varrying difficulties and routes. This is my first time doing something like this and I had a blast! Since I was the only "stock" truck with 31" tires, I was lumped into the slightly modifed group running 33" and less. Since I had the smallest tires....I was the first run of the day!

This was a timed, point run. Hit flags were +1, each reverse attempt was +1 etc. Then there were two additional obstacles a truck could run to receive -25 and -50 points. If you tried and failed, you lost time and didn't get anything for the attempt. The many pics of my run were taen by guys still camping out at the site. I did get a great GoPro video which I will finish and upload tomorrow.
(There are pics of people drinking in here, but these were all campers and spectators, not participants.)

An event like this in Eastern Ontario would be nothing without a Poutine Truck!

...and my spotters lunch...

First recovery!

While a bunch of us took some shade in the Pinz, we watched a father and son run the same Rubicon with a 10" total lift. The son got schooled!

Buggys!

As I mentioned before, I was bumped into another group, and I had to run the course first. There were 7 trucks in my class....and I came second!!! I was beaten by a jeep who had a faster time,,,which totalled -13 more than me.
My prize...a plague and $100! I was shocked!
