710M for sale in North Carolina, lots of custom work

I am selling my 710M currently located in North Carolina. I have been the sole owner since it was imported into the US. The truck was imported by Expedition Imports in 2006 at which time I purchased it and proceeded to work with them to overhaul and customize the truck. The work was done in 2006 and ...

Bolt size to mount antenna?

I have a 74 710m that has the antenna mount on the topside. The mount has bolt holes to attach the antenna receiver. I have the mount on the truck (obviously) and found a receiver and whip etc, but I don't have any bolts to attach it. Does anyone know what size/type of bolts I need to mount a ...

Engine issues resolved - backfiring, no start, bad idle, etc

I recently moved from CA to WI. Upon arrival in WI I put the Pinz in storage where it rested for about 16 months while I was back and forth across the country and all over the place.

Before I put the truck into storage it had intermitent issues with stalling, backfiring, rough idle, low RPM at ...

Thanks for all the replies folks! I finally made it to Wisconsin, and the Pinz made it with me. After three cross country trips (not all in the Pinz of course) I am relocated.

Currently enjoying the fall colors and getting ready for winter. Have to do some work on the truck before it gets too cold ...

New Wisconsin Pinz

Hey folks! It's been awhile since I've posted here but wanted to let folks know that my Pinz just moved from California to Wisconsin. I drove it part way from CA to WI this week, towing it freewheel behind a Sprinter Van and driving it over the various passes on the way. Left Sunday night and ...

Missing plug on Carb body!

I'm in the middle of rebuilding the carbs on my 710M and found after completing the first carb that the second carb is missing one of the (I assume) aluminum plugs on the choke side. The image below shows the finished carb with all plugs present. Where the arrow points is the location of the missing ...

question about pinz thread re: Army testing in CO (i think)

I recall reading a post regarding Pinzgauer's being tested and photographed under testing the US somewhere, I thought in CO. I searched for the forum and can't find the post or any mention anywhere. Does this ring a bell to anyone? If so can you point me to the post or the details?

Thanks in ...

The Pinz was used fairly extensively in the first Gulf War by a number of Allied countries. It was also used by US Special Operations forces and there is at least one record of a running battle between Iraqi forces and a unit of Delta operators before the ground war began that was resolved by the ...

Issues with corrosion under new paint

I have a question regarding corrosion that has occured twice after two full resprays of my Pinzgauer. I purchased my truck in April of 2006, had it stripped and repainted in milspec 100% flat desert paint, and after about 6 months corrosion began to appear in a number of areas on the truck. I had ...

Very, very chilling. Anyone who thinks there isn't an ongoing attempt to curtail our right to own and drive historic military vehicles need look no further than the comments Dennis quoted in CO.
