Why would you need a fan puller? Most of them pull off by hand once the nut and belt are removed:shock:

Jim, I tried to remove it by hand no luck. When I went to auto zone to use one of there's All the had was the three arm puller. I figured it would have more of a specific name than that.

Ok, I'll only type this once so take notes: remove the alternator with the fan attached, get tw0 blocks of wood to use as a stand. Next after soaking with penetrant use a hammer and a BRASS or COPPER drift to push the alternator shaft off of the fan. You could also use a press if you have one. Be careful not to damage the fan, they are costly.
The factory fan removal tool is unique to the Pinz.

Why? It is a simple and very fast and effective solution. In case you haven't noticed, the alternator falls out of the fan housing after removing the 6 10mm nuts on the backside.
One or two taps and the fan falls into your hand

Jim, Thank you... I had read that others had done it this way in the past. I was just sweating about breaking the fan. My wife is on me on how much I spent on the pinz in the last couple of months. When I pulled the Alternator the fan had a little flex and in my head. I just could see me destroying the fan blade. I was shaking like a leaf to say the least.

Erik,

There are some advantages to being divorced. Car parts drying in the oven...tires in the living room...carb rebuilds on the kitchen table...a backyard full of Austrian trucks and British cars...

But; there are probably some disadvantages, too.
