Rear seat belts wanted

Post by eToothpaste »

Just want to check the waters and see if anyone has some seat belts for a 710m laying around that they want to get rid of.

I hear that EI sells them.

I think they do and use the 'E' track system to secure them.

What is the e-trac? Is it part of the pinz already? I see the belts and an end cap on EI, but not the track.

E-trac is a steel track that the seat belts (also cargo straps, etc.) lock in to. E-trac is available here: http://stores.ebay.com/Mackie-Enterpris ... c=1&_sop=3
as well as many other dealers.
I remember a few old threads on the forum about installing seat belts using e-trac. A search should turn them up along with some photos.

Here are a few links and some pics for you:
E-Track (proper): viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7541&hilit=seat+belts
Direct bolt in (don't use retractable and sheet metal may be to thin?): viewtopic.php?f=18&t=7178&hilit=seat+belts
Check out seatbelt planet for regular belts (EI for E Track belts: http://www.expedition-imports.com/produ ... -BELT.html)

In photos below only 10 bolts are holding the thin E-Track in (see the EI post above on how to do it 'properly')
There are also other options but E-Track seems to be the popular choice for Pinz owners

Brian Mason did that truck. Therefore, It is as "proper" as it should. Only tour rigs need more than those 10 grade 8 bolts and nuts.

Brian didn't install the E-Track that was done by owner at the time (Gear/Justin) - just sayin'

I installed e-track and the EI belts in my 710m. Easy project, works great.

The only downside is that the belts clank around a lot when not being worn.
